Last month I announce an upcoming White Denim release, and now I've got another one
confirmed! Very exciting stuff. In addition to the Mr. Raoul K 12" that is in the works,
a 7" by Native Cats is being recorded this month! I am incredibly excited to help put
together the first piece of vinyl for these Tasmanian guys. They wouldn't sound out
of place on one of those M Squared compilations, kind of a gutsy-yet-gentle take on
Young Marble Giants with some Arab Strap in there, too. Probably the most pop-based
White Denim release yet, you'll love it. More on that as it comes, in the meantime check out
their MySpace page.

Finally, some news to report! And it's all good.
I am happy to announce that the next White Denim release will be a 12" by Mr. Raoul K.
The music of Mr. Raoul K splits the vast devide between Fela Kuti and Moritz Von Oswald,
channeling the human spirit of Afrobeat into a dub-techno frame. It's really great stuff
and I really recommend you check out his previous records or at least take a peek at his
MySpage page.
In other optimistic news, Air Conditioning have been practicing again and are playing some
cool festival in Chicago this week, which apparently is taking place right now and sold out,
so I won't bother finding any more info to share. Definitely a good sign of things to come, though.
Menstruation Sisters hardly let their Ecstatic Peace LP cool off before dropping another
new one on Ultra Eczema! Just
ordered one myself.
I guess that's it for now. More updates on the Mr. Raoul K record once it's closer to
completion. Stay cool!

Keeping you abreast of some happenings of the White Denim roster:
Menstruation Sisters just released a new album on Ecstatic Peace, more of their
delightfully disturbed din with that same great Rizili artwork. Pick up a copy!
Mi Ami are now in Europe, please say hi if you're in their neighborhood and check their MySpace for the specifics.
In what is probably the second Italian-based interview I've posted in the past few months, Private Entertainment
have a nice little back-and-forth on Disagio Zine, check it out
if you can read the language.
Two upcoming White Denim releases are being finalized, hold tight! And please, take advantage of the Right Thant
7" deal described in last month's update. Thanks!

Here's a great new exclusive White Denim deal! If you order $10 of merchandise or more (which is
essentially one LP or two singles), you'll get a copy of the debut 7" single by Right Thant
absolutely free. Right Thant is a minimal electronic/vocal project done by yours truly and the
pressing is limited. Recent orders of $10 or more will get copies shipped as well. No need to
specify in your order that you want it either, all orders of $10 or more will get one. This deal is good
until I say so, which will probably be a couple months before the next official White Denim releases
are out the door. I'm hoping to help get rid of some of the older titles I have to make room for new ones.
I've got two things lined up, but neither are close enough that I feel comfortable to formally announce.
Should be an exciting year, though! Any questions, feel free to ask.

Mi Ami are hitting the road for quite some time, starting this month! Most of the US is
covered, please check out their MySpace Page for
all up-to-date information and schedules.
I just started a website that features record reviews and interviews on a monthly basis. Something
fun to do, mainly just want to rave about the music I've been digging that I haven't been lucky
enough to actually release myself. It's called Yellow Green Red and you can check it out at www.yellowgreenred.com.
Another White Denim release is being confirmed, but I don't want to let the cat out of the bag yet.
It's from one of my favorite artists of 2008, that much I can say! Prior to that, there will be a non-White Denim
vinyl release that will be exclusively available from White Denim. Really excited about that, sorry if it's confusing. More on that later!

Hey, 2009! The future's already looking great, but quickly look back at 2008 with my personal
favorites here.
There's nothing I can announce as far as new White Denim releases, but plenty on the horizon.
Some surprises, that much is for sure. Keep checking back!
